Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer (15ml & 30ml)

Outstanding

I cannot emphasise how good this product is. I gave the old faded black trim a good wash and then using a nylon brush scrupped at the trim. Applied the trim restorer and my 2006 Mini JCW has never looked better. It can certainly withstand the rain and last much longer compared to previous trim restorers I have used. Worth every penny. Highly recommend getting for faded black plastic.

Fantastic

After reading the all reviews I decided to buy this, I am glad I did I have an X5 and the bumper was grey not black . This has restored it and it looks like new. I do wish I had bought the larger size to do inside as well. I cleaned all the exterior bumpers with panel wipe, then applied. Come on UF put more pads in 4 is not enough. I have taken before and after photos. I am really pleased with the end result, I have tried many other bumper revival products that all failed.

Incredible stuff

The external plastics on my Wife's 2008 Polo GTi had faded to grey and all the products I'd tried previously looked OK for a week or two but then washed off. After thoroughly cleaning all surfaces with isopropyl alcohol first, I just used cotton applicators and the plastics are just like new. It's completely transformed the look of the car.

Excellent product

I purchased the C4 for my fathers Transit connect van. This van has a lot of plastic trim! We had tried the usual trim restorers (the kind you get in Halfords) but the tired looking plastic on the van was too far gone. After some internet research the gtechniq C4 came up a few times mainly from professional detailers. Decided to give it a go and we got the 30ml bottle as the connect has all that trim.Tried it first on a small area and it was clear we needed to clean the trim very thoroughly witch we did with r222 APC. The results were fantastic. C4 seems expensive for such a small bottle but it is money well spent. The 30ml bottle was plenty for the connect and i would think a 15ml bottle is enough for an average car.

C4 Trim Restorer

Excellent product. Small bottle, but a little really does go a long way. Used as part of a detail I did on my parents 4 years old Focus. C4 brought the trim up like new and easy to apply. Also used P1 with medium & finishing pads and applied C1 Crystal lacquer & EXO v2 to the paintwork. Glass cleaned with G4 and treated with G1. C5 applied to alloy wheels. Interior fabric treated with I1. The car looks stunning and my parents were proud to display the Gtechniq sticker. I would agree however that Gtechniq could be a little more generous with the application pads. I did have just about enough, but if you drop 1 or 2 you could run short.

Trim restorer

What a small bottle of product, but what a punch it makes. Used this on my father in laws thirteen year old Vauxhall Astra trim which was badly faded. I never thought that it would cover all the sills and door trim but it really did and I still had a quarter of the bottle left. I only used one pad. I followed the instructions on the attached video by Gtechniq and it could not be more user friendly. Father in law wouldn't let me put the G Techniq sticker in the window so I’ll be putting it in mine. I really can’t rave about this product any more. Thanks UF for another prompt delivery on another quality product.

C4 it does what i being said about it. Good prepping work is a must as you would expect getting the best result! I did my 1996 golf mk3 with it. and looks superb. good application enough pad for application to! The help and advice i gotten from UF and Rob from Gtechniq was really helpfull! - no more sorrowfull dressing that last a couple of weeks but a durable coating for the amount and money you spend I still call it a good investment, just calculate what you will be using in one year. I found that C4 is the clear winner! Great support form UF and Gtechniq Rob! Highly Recommendable product! Don't let the used pad dry up if you still are needing them! finish what you have started.

Expensive for what it is and does not come with enough application pads as stated in above review. Also spoke to G Techniq for advice on how much I would need for the entire interior of an Audi A3... guess what? I ran out. Now I have a brand spanking new looking interior but a driver side door that looks aged. It has made a noticable difference to the slightly faded plastics and even got rid of one minor stain - plastics have a lustre added to them. I wish I had been warned about later applying it in the same place. I used this around the passenger door edge and realised I had missed a spot. I went back to re-apply it and now I have a streak of dull plastic where I tried to touch up the missing area. So I guess you need to get it right first time. It is very powerful though so advisable to use it up to every edge and corner otherwise the dull plastic sticks out like a sore thumb against the restored surface. 3 stars due to the wait time for the product, lack of advice and tips from G Techniq.

Trim restorer

The product and application is very good and the finish like new. This is especially effective on ruff plastic found on ford's,jags but not so on flat serverly discoloured or stained plastic.  The only reason that I cannot give a 5* is the price and bottle size. I would recommend but the product could do with including some more app pads.
