How Ronnie Used Our Products
I started by washing the car with 4 buckets, to rinse then 3 to clean. I tend to use hair shampoo to clean my car as I have done for several years now. I was told by an old friend of mine on the classic show scene, it is good for your hair and doesn't strip that, so imagine what it does for your paintwork :-)
Once washed I leathered the car off with an Autoglym soaker and just for inspection used #7 Show Car Glaze so I could see the quality as I tend to do this system once a week if I am up to it or every fort night, given that I am disabled with little feeling on my left side and it takes 2 days to do a full detail on my car.
Once I have seen the condition I started with the Meguiar’s 3 step polish system all over, this includes door frames. Depending on how much energy I have I either switch between hand buffing or a rotary slow speed buffer.
I struggle with the skirts due to getting down there this is quite noticeable but every now and then I get the chance to put the car on a ramp and this keeps them somewhat clean.
After the full 3 step system I move on to Poorboys Natty’s Paste Wax and then the Black Hole polish, this includes alloys as they are gloss black.
All windows were cleaned with Autoglym cream as I find the spray bottles hard to use especially on the windscreen inside.
Under the bonnet I have quite a bit of stainless steel products from Mirage, these were cleaned with NXT All Metal Polish and the painted parts I use a silicone based wax.
It does seem quite a strange combination of waxes to use on my car but the results do speak for themselves in the pictures, I seem to get a gloss black shine from a Metallic Panther black paintwork.
Thank you for taking the time to read my write-up and also if you do taking the time to vote for my car.
